In my painting, I captured the fragile beauty of the black-throated finch, a symbol of resilience amidst adversity. Set against a backdrop of industrial encroachment, the vibrant hues of the finch contrast starkly with the muted tones of mining machinery, reflecting its struggle for survival. I envisioned this delicate creature finding sanctuary in my home, a space of safety and hope, inviting the viewer to contemplate the urgent need for conservation. Through this artwork, I aimed to highlight the finch's last chance to thrive, urging a connection to nature and a call to action against environmental destruction. $750
